- Is Bridge Gym free?
- Yes. Bridge Gym is completely free, with no ads and no subscription — nothing to unlock, no paywall on lessons, scenarios or the glossary.
- Do I need an account?
- No. Bridge Gym works with no sign-up and no account — open it and start playing straight away. Your progress (lessons completed, quiz results, scenarios played) is kept on your own device.
- What is minibridge?
- Minibridge is a simplified form of bridge with no competitive bidding: players show their point count, the strongest hand becomes declarer, and declarer picks the contract after seeing the dummy hand. It's a gentle way to learn the play of the cards before tackling full bidding auctions — see Learn bridge for more.
- Does Bridge Gym work offline?
- Yes. Bridge Gym is an installable Progressive Web App (PWA) that keeps working fully offline once it has loaded — useful anywhere a connection isn't guaranteed, from a plane to a park bench.
- What bidding system does it teach?
- ACOL, the standard British and Commonwealth bidding system, including the weak no-trump (12–14 points, balanced), Stayman, and red-suit transfers. See ACOL bidding for the full breakdown.
- Who is Bridge Gym for?
- All ages and all levels, from complete beginners starting with minibridge through to players building up to full ACOL auctions. The guided lessons assume no prior knowledge at all.
